Both David Lidington and Gavin Barwell need to explain today what’s going on. Why would Brussels budge an inch when the PM’s de facto deputy and chief of staff are exploring a second referendum?

Coming from a non political background I naively thought being a MP was about making a difference to people’s lives. Today I saw the reality. Not sure there is even democracy in this country anymore. The powerful elite seem to know best and openly mock the rest of us.

So, all of us who made up the 17.4 million who voted “the wrong way” in the EU referendum are now somehow responsible for a Remain-backing PM, Chancellor & civil service delivering a Brexit deal that makes a mockery of our vote? Yeah, sure, that seems legit.

If May’s deal is ratified, the UK will have no legal route out of it unless the EU agrees to let us out and replace it with another agreement. This makes it unique among trade treaties (including the EU’s), this really is the worst deal in history.. spectator.co.uk/2018/11/mays-b…
