Tom Jeffreys was one of the Welshmen who helped establish the steel industry (and rugby) in Baltimore, United States, by bringing his skills, knowledge and passion from the tin works in Llanelli across the Atlantic in the 1920s.

We are hugely saddened that the great Barry John has passed away at the age of 79.

Barry inspired so many and will forever be remembered for how much he gave to the sport.
