Last Saturday, Scottish Mountain Rescue team members undertook training on Mental Health First Aid in the workplace. Thank you to Mike McLaggan @Highway2FirstAid and Eliz Macintosh from

for delivering a full day with lots of discussion on a salient topic.

The team were called out last night by Police Scotland to assisted four walkers who became disoriented in low cloud near the summit of Mulla Bho Dheas (743m)
The team provided shelter, clothing, food and water before walking them safely off the hill to their car.

At 00:53 this morning, Lomond MRT were called to assist a walker who was suffering from exhaustion.

Working with colleagues from Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance, the casualty was transferred to a waiting ambulance and after assessment, was able to return home.

Last Sunday the team had their annual training with Rescue 199 in Glen Rosa.
A good day was had going over essential safety and winching procedures.
Thanks as always to the crew for giving up their time to fly over and do this with us 🚁

Another sleepless night for some of the team to assist a walker who’d become lost in cloud near Beinn Mheadhoin, Cairngorms yesterday evening.

Team located them, warmed them up and guided them off in the dark. Everyone home safe about 3am.

15 hour callout last night along with Aberdeen MRT to rescue 3 climbers from Mitre Ridge, Beinn a’ Bhuird.

🚁 supported initially but due to cloud rescue went technical and resolved by team not off hill on foot till late morning. 😴

The team were called out at 1745 to assist a woman who had sustained a head injury in Glen Rosa.
The team worked alongside the Air Ambulance retrieval team to treat her before she was flown to hospital.
Thanks to everyone for their help.

At 15:20 today, Lomond MRT were called to a walker who had fallen sustaining a possible knee injury on Ben Lomond.
