From tomorrow all five councils in Somerset will be replaced by a single #SomersetCouncil - this is often referred to as vesting day.
Here's what you need to know about what will and won't change before the big day!
As we move to a Unitary Council for Somerset, the last Chairman of Sedgemoor District Council, Cllr Alan Bradford presented Rusty Road to Recovery a cheque for £1345.12 which was the result of various fundraising events undertaken during his 2 year term

Our Beach Wardens will be returning today (31/03) on our beaches at Burnham on Sea, Berrow & Brean in time for the Easter holidays & ahead of the summer season, ready to give beach safety advice, provide basic first aid, check jetty permits & collect car parking fees

Do you have views on how Burnham on Sea High Street could be improved?

We've planted Crab Apple and Cherry Blossom trees in Eastover park either side of the central footway/cycle way to create a varying blossom display every Spring.
Planting trees in urban areas helps with bio diversity and has environmental and conservation benefits.

Thank you to everyone who came along to support

There are lots of places to walk your dog in Sedgemoor
If you’re visiting our parks, please remember to clean up after your dog & dispose of the bagged waste in a bin or take it home with you. This helps to protect wildlife & ensures everyone can enjoy these areas
#BagItBinIt
Don't forget that as part of the #GreatBritishSpringClean you can join us and the Friends of Apex Park for a litter pick tomorrow (29/03) at Apex Park between 10am and 1pm
