Thank you U.S. Special Envoy for Sudan Tom Perriello for joining us in Chad to hear powerful testimonies from Sudanese refugees fleeing violence & hunger. We saw that far more must be done to ensure refugees have life-saving resources and how urgently humanitarian assistance must be delivered throughout Sudan.

There are many conflicts that deserve our attention, but the strife in Sudan continues to have horrific impacts & must be stopped. As part of the first Congressional delegation to visit the Chad/Sudan border since the war began, I met refugees to learn about the crisis firsthand.
