Section 148 of the Kentucky Constitution requires all employers to allow 4 hours of voting leave. SB 172 would actually make sure this happens by implementing penalties for those employers who violate your constitutional right to vote.

The big question right now is, do we protect the public's right to use a non-trackable, non-programmable currency, or do we let businesses start cutting off customers because they have decided they want to pay into credit card fee world?

Filed my bill for preventing Digital Discrimination, SB 130. If this bill becomes law you would not have to have smart phones, computers, or credit cards, to interact with public services. So far 25 of my fellow Senators have sponsored it, hopefully more will follow.

SB 80 Passed the Senate today, onward to the House.

Last week I testified in committee on SB 80, my Voter ID Reform bill. Today in a few hours we are expected to take a vote. If you are outside my district but support this bill you can let your Senator know by calling 1-800-372-7181, as well as let you State Representative know.

Yesterday the Senate adopted SR 97 recognizing January 27, 2024, as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
