Students followed instructions to make yorkshire puddings in line with our Culture Capital topic. They were excellent!!

During our Culture Capital lesson (UK) and Maths, students followed instruction to make sausage rolls.

Students took part in an enterprise project within our careers subject. They created a product and produced a presentation which they delivered to staff. Our female student won a salon prize for her product creation!

Students enjoyed a visit from Orsted today. A very informative session which included a practical activity. Students selected various materials they felt would be useful to create a wind turbine. #respect#responsibility#perseverance

In our cooking session today in Isaac class, students made chicken fajitas. They chopped, cooked and seasoned ingredients to create tasty wraps.

During tutor time today, we experienced tasting various foods from India. We are exploring India within our Culture Capital subject.

Compass Go attended Sevenhills today and engaged with students discussing feelings, thoughts and how we control these.

In Isaac class this term, we have looked and researched the artist Andy Warhol, a famous USA artist. We designed our own pop art using Andy Warhol's creations.

Cultural Capital - USA
Today the students researched some of the popular foods eaten in the USA. We then taste tested these and discussed the smells, tastes and which was our favourite.

Compass Go attended Sevenhills. They discussed aspirations with our students. We covered various careers, feelings, values and barriers. The students interacted with activities and joined in with the discussions, sharing their views and thoughts for their futures.

Jeans for genes day (Genetic Disorder Awareness) at Sevenhills.
Today we watched real life stories on genetic disorders and how they affect people and their families.
We then discussed the effects of being judgemental and how this can negatively impact mental health.

On Roald Dahl day we looked at an extract from the book ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine’.
In English we had a practical lesson. We chose ingredients and measured these in grams and millilitres, we chose a name, what our medicine would do and created them.
