Watching April 9 EPSB board meeting and Daryll and the gentleman handling infrastructure are asking for money for rooms needed programming/spaces for kids with various disabilities they are quick to want to fund seclusion rooms but say sensory spaces are optional? wtf? #abed

Maybe a whole lot of under trained EAs they hired to serve as warm bodies vs actually training and paying well is hurting kids? Maybe not being supported in school causes trauma? Maybe we stop dumping on kids who are barely holding it together?

Any other month they could have picked to discuss this but of course during Autism Acceptance month they go this route.
Don’t tell me it’s not personal. Cause it’s personal. We’ve been shouting for EAs to be better paid and better supported. This was the return? #abed

We waited 1300 days to learn the #CanadaDisabilityBenefit which was SUPPOSED to lift disabled Cdns out of poverty & offset the coercion of #MAiD will only be $200 month, starting July 2025. Doesn't even offset housing/food cost increases while waiting. The #eugenics IS the point.
