Today's vote on the EU ratification of the #IstanbulConvention is a great achievement of a long political battle.

Our fight to stop violence against women does not end here. We want a 🇪🇺 Directive to criminalise all forms of gender-based violence, including rape & cybercrimes.

We discussed the importance of protecting reproductive health care and ensuring every woman everywhere has the right to choose.

41% or Roma, 45% of people with northern Africa background, 25% of Jewish people feel discriminated against.

Racism is a threat to our democracy.

Rooting out racism in 🇪🇺 requires action, not just words.

Today, we are leading the debate and vote on the EP’s first comprehensive report on racial justice, non-discrimination and anti-racism.

The EU needs a strategy for video games and e-sports to keep the highest quality standards, reach out to new audiences, ensure tolerance and a safe and gender equal environment for everyone to play. We must also consider their use for educational purposes.

Glad to enter #ENVI in the #EP . We have crucial work ahead of us. We need political bravery and ambitious policies. We need gender mainstreaming to be properly sustainable. Gender equality and green transition goes hand in hand. We need to work from the local to the global leve.

Members of the European Parliament gathered today in protest against the brutal regime in Iran. The EU must demand abolition of all discriminatory laws, including abolishing the “morality police”. And ensure that the murderers of #MahsaJinaAmini are held accountable!
