We have written to FPOs across the SE to ask for updates and encourage a swift resolution. It is deeply unfair and unwelcoming to treat our new Drs like this.

Without having worked even one day in the NHS yet, every one of these young doctors will already suffer a breach of their nationally agreed contracts.

And neither NHS England nor any of the Trusts will suffer any meaningful consequences for these widespread breaches.

Whilst we await the latest NHS pay circular, we understand that new consultant pay scales are now on ESR and the pay offer award for 23/24 will arrive in May’s pay (backdated to 1st March 2024). That will be welcomed by our hard working SE consultants. bma.org.uk/our-campaigns/…

If you work in the NHS your pension contributions are changing. Most should get a little more in their pay this month. 👏

At least South East Coast Ambulance looks likely to come out soon.
