Why is employment income taxed significantly more than capital gains income?

Employment is productive and helps our GDP. Sitting on assets to sell them at inflated prices is parasitical.

Family members of mine got Covid recently for 1st time. One of them shortly after getting better ended up w/ really bad bout of bronchitis, worried for bit that they may have ended up w/ pneumonia. Started from day care setting. Spread to 2 households.
Clean the air. Wear masks.

Municipal water wasn’t properly treated leading to an E. coli outbreak.

Over 2000 got sick.
7 people died.

2 public utility operators (who weren’t properly trained) went to prison for 9-12 months.

Keith I was actually surprised to see 'COVID-19 and other illnesses' on this list of potential reasons for higher chronic absences in school kids compared to pre-pandemic times.

Maybe people are (finally, every so slowly) starting to catch on?
