UPDATE: The multi-agency emergency crisis response drill conducted at Courtland Elementary School on Friday, March 8, 2024 has ended. We greatly appreciate the support of the Sheriff’s Office, Fire & Rescue, school personnel, and volunteers who participated in today’s drill.

A multi-agency emergency crisis response drill with SCPS, Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, and Fire & Rescue will take place on Friday afternoon, 3/8/24, at Courtland Elementary School. There will be multiple Sheriff’s Office and Fire and Rescue vehicles at the school.

SCPS is on a two-hour delay this morning. We will continue to evaluate and let you know if changes are necessary. Thank you for your patience.

Governor Glenn Youngkin has declared a State of Emergency before potential Tropical Cyclone Sixteen, expected to impact Virginia beginning Friday, September 22. All Saturday SCPS activities are canceled as a precaution.
