I would be onboard for Graham Barton at #20 for the athleticism alone. His freakish profile makes the transition back to C much easier to envision.

P.S. This is totally different than Kendrick Green, who was nowhere near as good in college to begin with.

Have enjoyed the new uncertainty with what the Steelers will do in the first round under Omar Khan. Last year was a trade up, this year it could be a OT, C, CB, or WR.

Different feeling from 2021-2022 when the Najee Harris & Kenny Pickett picks felt very telegraphed.

The NFL draft always makes me remember past obscure Steelers selections like when Dri Archer nearly equalled his entire NFL yardage output on this one 46-yard catch in his preseason debut.

Never thought the Steelers would be about to enter the NFL Draft with Nate Herbig as their starting center AND Van Jefferson as their WR2 but here we are.
Not to mention Dan Moore Jr. is still penciled in as a starter right now too.

A lot of areas to address. Big draft ahead.

All these bad, unreliable trade rumours is exactly why we need to move the draft earlier.

The last 2-3 weeks before the NFL draft is easily the worst time for serious football content.

Only 9 players in NFL history have had a higher Yards per Reception over their first two seasons than George Pickens (min. 115 catches).

Pickens’ 16.9 YPR ranks ahead of DeSean Jackson (16.7) and Calvin Johnson (16.6) through their first two years.

I mean any good front office would have some kind of internal discussions about a good WR who may be on the trade market.

They’ve probably had tons of internal discussions about players who might be available.

Out of the 22 NFL centers who started 10+ games in 2023, only 4 of them were 1st-round picks.

Ryan Kelly (18th pick)
Garrett Bradbury (18th pick)
Frank Ragnow (20th pick)
Tyler Linderbaum (25th pick)

Something to keep in mind with the buzz of Steelers taking a C in the first.

Only five players in NFL history recorded 30+ interceptions, 10+ forced fumbles & 50+ TFL:

Troy Polamalu
Charles Woodson
Ray Lewis
Brian Dawkins
Ronde Barber

Troy was an all-timer, man.

A different idea with the Steelers going CB with the 20th overall pick but wouldn't be mad if the draft went this way.

Not really surprised by this. Center typically hasn’t been looked at as Round 1 value in the NFL’s eyes.

Don’t think Jackson Powers-Johnson makes it to the Steelers’ round 2 pick, but who’s to say Zach Frazier won’t? Would be a pretty sweet haul if it does happen though.
