Interesting Lichfields ThinkTank report on the time larger sites take through planning. lots of gaps (site allocation and pre-app periods in particular) due to poor/absent data. It’s difficult to diagnose the problems or prescribe solutions with such patchy data lichfields.uk/media/w3wjmws0…

I think it's all a good example of one of the biggest problems in UK policy which is clever and well-educated people extracting rent from their education by making pretty simple things far too complicated and nuanced. All while nodding along to this largely-wrong cartoon.
