NEW THIS MORNING: Investigators are searching for the cause of a large overnight fire that broke out at a homeless encampment near Highway 167 in Kent.

The Kenya Red Cross is performing a frantic search and rescue operation in Kenya's Maasai Mara National Reserve as the Talek River broke its banks and flooded over 14 tourist camps. The organization has successfully rescued 36 people by air and another 25 through an aqua rescue

BREAKING NEWS: Homicide investigation underway in Tacoma.

STICKER SHOCK: Drivers in 3 Western Washington counties are now paying an average of $5 for a gallon of regular unleaded gas.

Jefferson County joined the list overnight. San Juan County and Wahkiakum County were already above the $5 mark.

We can confirm that LAPD officers have been deployed, and are currently on the UCLA campus, to assist in restoring order. We are working in partnership with UCLA PD and other law enforcement agencies.

Our office is closely monitoring the situation at UCLA.

Law enforcement leaders are in contact this evening and resources are being mobilized.

The violence unfolding this evening at UCLA is absolutely abhorrent and inexcusable.

LAPD has arrived on campus.
