Wits VIDA Research Unit proudly involved in first study to show 82% efficacy (reduced risk) against severe Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI) by vaccinating their mothers during pregnancy with a RSV protein vaccine. Published in NEJM today.
