Utterly love this fairytale adventure/quest. There's so much to talk about. The relationship between the siblings warms your heart. The 'many adventures' pages leave writerly gaps that the children are going to want to fill with their own storytelling. It will enrich your day!

This morning I’ve read The Magic Place by Chris Wormell. For me it’s Cinderella meets Leeva at Last. Superb storytelling with the reader being invited in. Sublime cover. Illustrations throughout enhance the text. Magic was not what I expected! Fans of Dahl would enjoy this.

My favourite non-fiction book so far this year.

“The Iguanadon’s Horn” by Sean Rubin is a truly brilliant exploration of changing understanding. It creates a picture of how in science, art and imagination are part of the process to finding answers. Exceptional

Moletown by Torben Kuhlmann is an absolute gem. It’s 10 years old next year which in my opinion allows me to call it a classic. It’s an almost wordless tale which holds a mirror up to our post-Industrial Revolution world.
