the glass tower is full of politicians throwing stones, making promises for a decade on affordable housing, pretending to care about people with disabilities, indigenous or the impoverished, meanwhile they take gravy planes, live in luxury and then their offspring run in legacy.

Politicians tweeting about disability & inclusion subjects whilst ignoring disability activists' repeated requests to include ALT text to be inclusive for disabled ppl, is just hollow self-serving PR as it lacks any real personal commitment to inclusion for all.

The Ontario (and Canadian… and, actually, all the provincial) government continues to rule with explicit ableism. They are explicitly and directly punishing people who are not able to work, as if that’s going to “cure” their health and get them working.

People keep doing those 'four years ago lockdown had just started' posts; something I think of is how eager some groups were to learn about disability justice & how that has really shifted four years later. We built a broader base but man we were also the flavor of the month.
