While some Citroën UK and Vauxhall loyalists might be miffed that the new C3 Aircross and Frontera share more than just 'invisible' bits, in times of increasing costs and squeezed profitability, it's a wise move by Stellantis.

Jim Clark, who won 2 world championships & 25 GPs from 72 starts & only 49 finishes, for his Lotuses weren’t reliable, who was a quiet man off track & a genius on it, lost his life in a minor race in ’68. Pic: Lotus 33, Zandvoort, ’65, taken by Yves Debraine.

On Easter Monday 65 years ago, my father took my mother, my sister and me to Mallory Park for our first experience of motor racing. An unknown 23-year-old Scottish farmer named Jim Clark won four races: three in a Lister-Jag and one in a Lotus Elite. I was 12 and had a new hero.

Hold it! Now we learn that Adrian Hallmark’s going to Aston, which modifies my regrets about his leaving Bentley. What a coup for AM! He will burnish the image, motivate the dealers and inspire the clientele, now departing Amedeo Felisa has sorted the cars. Wonderful years ahead

Extremely sorry to hear Adrian Hallmark is leaving Bentley with what sounds like immediate effect — yet with the profuse praise of his bosses ringing in his ears. What a culture he has created! Busting to know all about the “new challenges”. Perhaps he’d like to run the country…

I think this is one of my favourite motorsport images of all. The camera is lined up perfectly. The drift is perfection. The driver is immortal. Imagine is F1 cars didn't have downforce and they did this all the time. Like MotoGP.

It’s a curation of key data from Autocar’s first century of road tests from 1920-2020, wrapped in a magnificent Roy McCarthy-designed cover.

Research is ongoing, with the finished book on schedule to be available by the end of 2024.

STOLEN! Keep an eye out for this 2CV Charleston, which has been pinched in Norfolk. Fingers crossed the owner gets it back soon.

Matt Prior Steve Cropley On headlight glare, I remember years ago reading about the idea of fitting 45° polarising filters to headlight lenses and windscreens so that your own are in phase but oncoming ones are all but blocked. Don’t know if it would work but maybe worth revisiting

Amazing what you can find in the South Downs. Fantastic looking thing on the road, my panicky proofshot doesn’t do it justice
