Even if your phone is in a cradle, if using it distracts you whilst driving, you commit offences. Driver of this HGV was so distracted by using his phone, #VanguardRST saw him drift twice onto the hard shoulder. Stopped on M3, Shepperton & issued a TOR for not in proper control.
#SPCasualtyReduction Officers & Mole Valley Beat (Surrey Police) have been at Vincent Lane, Dorking stopping drivers using their mobile phone whilst driving. During 2 hours, over 20 offences were detected, including phone, child seatbelts & distraction/not in control offences.

The same driver was today caught using his handheld mobile phone and not wearing his seatbelt whilst leaving a Probation meeting as two uniformed #VanguardRST officers were leaving court.
Stopped and issued a TOR for each offence.

Vehicle stopped in Guildford by #VanguardRST as there were children unsecured. Upon being stopped, the driver provided a positive #DrugWipe for cannabis (they had had 8 joints the previous night). Driver #arrested .

Vehicle stopped by #SPCasualtyReduction officer on Portsmouth Road, Cobham as seen with a defective headlamp & being driven through a red temporary traffic signal. Driver then provided a positive breath reading of 62 (legal limit 35). Driver arrested.

Found they had applied for a provisional licence as Indian licence entitlements had expired, but failed take a test, had no supervisor or L plates. Driver summonsed & vehicle seized
