The House has now passed a bill addressing the debt limit and the need to control spending. The administration should meet with Congressional leaders without delay to find a path forward to raise the debt ceiling and address runaway deficits.

It was an honor to meet with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on behalf of American business to discuss a range of global challenges.

Together, the U.S. and Canada stand on a strong foundation of shared values—democracy, free enterprise, open markets, and the rule of law.
