Nick JPThrough1 There is some confusion, Uk is 13th for goods only. Total exports including services were 4/5 in 2022. But distorted by gas and aid to Ukraine in 2022. Exports have declined quarter on quarter since 2022. Put 5 years in chart below.

Gully omits to mention we were 4th largest exporter of goods & services in 2015 & were further ahead of France & Netherlands than 2022. He also omits to mention that we were the world's 10th largest goods exporter in 2015. In 2022 we'd dropped to 13th. Brexit?

German exports 🇩🇪 to:

+28% 🇪🇺 EU
+39% 🇺🇸 USA
+2% 🇨🇳 China

-7% 🇬🇧 UK

UK was the world's fourth largest exporter in 2015. Only then we were further ahead of France and The Netherlands, who've now closed the gap.

BTW, Derrick, data to 2022 are not 'fresh figures'. ONS export volume in 2023 shows a downturn on 2022.

Can't really say 'and is *now* the world's 4th largest exporter', as the UN data Ramon is relying on is only up-to-date to 2022 and UK worldwide goods and services export volume dropped in 2023.
