According to this article only 12% of roads are Regional Roads. We already know most fatalities occur on rural roads with a speed limit of 80 km/h or more. But do we know the ratio of fatal collisions on National v Regional v Local Roads ?

& 2 out of the 3 are not running this time so unless we elect the new women candidates in all 3 MDs the gender balance will be even more skewed. I wince every time I see a group photo of assembled councillors. The guys can be good but Council is not reflective of the population

In Sligo PPN consultations,need for Bus Shelters was brought up by rural & urban dwellers, & by old & young. New services are great but we can't expect modal shift if passengers are expected to wait in rain & cold. Glad to see Irish Cycling Campaign included bus shelters in its CAP24 submis

Serious collisions are usually reported in Local Media with locations often identifiable. So in theory if I had time I could comb The Sligo Champion Sligo Weekender OceanFM Ireland & come up with location of collisions. If I then wrote a blog post IrishCycle.com would I breach GDPR?

Another example Sligo Cycling from last week. I cycled to Sligo PPN evening event The Model Sligo . To avoid a roundabout route I had to walk the bike down Bridge St then cycle up the Mall & do reverse on way home. But hopefully that one is on the way to resolution Una L'Estrange
