“The strategy all along has been to ask the speaker to resign in a fashion like John Boehner resigned after he cleaned the barn.”

Steny Hoyer on Dems bailing Republicans out on the foreign aid rule vote: “It’s the answer to making irrelevant the House Freedom Caucus. They should have been made irrelevant a long time ago. And, frankly, this shows how relatively easy it is.”
