Here's an interesting new case on the justiciability of Indigenous law: decisions.fct-cf.gc.ca/fc-cf/decision… If recognition for Indigenous law is sought under Canadian law, this could provide the Federal Court with jurisdiction, but the Court doesn't have free-standing jurisdiction over it.

The Justice Rosalie Abella award is one of the most meaningful I’ve received.

There is something special in being recognized as most likely to positively influence social equity and Justice. There’s also a responsibility attached to it.
