One of the things I love best about the transition to renewable energy is that there isn't a single silver bullet solution. The solutions will be as vast and diverse as there are jobs to do in different places.

It was 107 degrees in Wichita yesterday. I'm out here celebrating mine and Elle's engagement on my future in-law's off-grid farm. Solar + wind. Electric cars. Electric boat. Electric tractor. Dog named Leroy. Only thing missing is a hydrogen truck.

A Ford Lightning is a great buy for folks who love the truck form factor but don't usually care about payload/towing + range. As a consumer, I would fall into this bucket 99.5% of the time. I have a local boat launch, and I haul lighter loads for work projects.

Hydrogen is a great fuel for rugged work. Viable markets include any job with high duty cycles, like material handling, light commercial vehicles, super duty trucks, & heavy equipment, where you're optimizing for payload + range / payload + operating hours and uptime.
