Dwayne Reed We had Wednesdays asynchronous during Covid and it was the absolute best thing for my mental health. I was able to grade, prep, and actually meet with my team. I miss it

Taught a lesson today and was thoroughly impressed with its success! A perfect lesson? Absolutely not! 😅 But the kids collaborated well, and seemed to be having fun, so that’s a win!

We must constantly build our kids up, so that when the world comes to tear them down, they’ll be able to hold onto truth and stay strong.

Do not be afraid to do and be you — authentically and unapologetically YOU. Never, EVER let the haters win and keep you from sharing your story with the world. Someone out there needs to hear from you and see how you do it. So, do it!

There will always, ALWAYS be haters.

Almost as if it’s their job to be negative. They get joy from talking down or tearing down, and love it when others join in on the misery. The irony is that haters feel energized by destroying the energy produced by others. How miserable.

At the science fair today, a 7th grader stops me in my tracks, grabs my arms, then says, “Aye, you need to come meet my mama.” 😂 So I met mom, shared a few positives about the student, then they went on their way.

Kids just know the people who are for them🖤

Don’t take those tough days or tough moments personally. Just because it happened to you, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s about you.

You wouldn’t believe how something as simple as a fist bump could build the foundation for great relationships in school. Kids literally go out of their way to connect in this way with me all day.
