“I’m so sore. It has to be the lifting I’ve been doing.”

OR, it’s because:

- You sleep 5 hours every night
- You don’t take a day off
- You play on 4 sports teams
- Your dietary consistency is nonexistent
- Your body is weak & fragile
- You play your sport year round

If you’re not going to train in-season, you shouldn’t really bother in the off-season

If you’re spending money, it’s largely a waste

You’ll just keep going one step forward & two steps back

If you’re actually serious about your development you’ll find a way to train in-season

Why are so many young athletes injured?

- They play their sport competitively year round

- They don’t consistently strengthen their body & work on movement

- Too many adopt a routine with no off days

- Nutrition & hydration flat out suck

- Bad S&C programs

Stupidity.

Hey parents… let’s talk about injuries

Reasons your child is hurt:

❌ Strength training

✅ They never take a break from their sport

Necessary in youth sports:

Let them play
Let them fail
Coach positively
Teach them to give/love/be unselfish
Let them play as many sports as they want

Unnecessary:

Over-coaching/analyzing
Expecting adult knowledge from a child
Showing disappointment in them
Constant criticism
