It’s disappointing when a social justice oriented organization sets its annual conference for Yom Kippur, saying that there was a narrow range of dates to choose from. I know Jews are few, so it doesn’t massively affect overall turnout, but surely that wasn’t the sole option?

The Colorado legislature has passed a bill making contracting companies cover lost pay if a subcontractor commits wage theft.

Colorado workers lose nearly $728 million/yr from wage theft, and construction workers suffer disproportionately.

Now the bill heads to the Governor.
