Cheryl White Thanks Cancer! Ahh thank you for this! I've been on Tamoxifen for about 3 to 4 months now and have noticed my eyes feeling more dry!
Thanks Cancer! One of the drugs caused my eyes to stream a lot and of course taste was affected badly.
The one that really surprised me was heart damage.
The chemo gave me permanent AFib so breathlessness and fatigue are constant companions.
Cardioversion to restore regular HR next year.
Thanks Cancer! And……. the fucking grey hair. I was doing well for a 45 year old before C/diagnosis (I had none. Then the treatment kicked in and I’m grateful that the “salt & pepper look” isn’t necessarily a bad thing anymore.
Unless it’s caused by cancer, then there’s a case to be argued.
Thanks Cancer! I learned tamoxifen can mess with your eyes too! My optometrist told me it’s super important I get yearly checkups as long as I’m taking it.
Thanks Cancer! PETScan on the 29th - end of year. It’s actually number 12. I always forget the 1st in 2009 when 1st diagnosed with early (2a node negative) BC & 1 off cycle in 2021. I normally don’t get nervous but I’ve had some pretty good bone pain & a significant loss of appetite lately.
Thanks Cancer! So my tumor was in my pharynx. After I went into remission my donctor told me it was a permanent resident, so now I have dead tumor making it really difficult to swallow food. I have to drink 32 oz of fluid just to get it down my throat anytime I eat solid food. Fucking sucks
Thanks Cancer! No. I had to import that. Even the oncology dept dietitians didn’t give me more than to avoid things likely to cause food poisoning.
After tx, and despite ongoing symptoms, I got nothing more than “eat right and exercise”.
I am having to “science the shit out of this” myself.
Lazy 🍋 Lemon, RN Thanks Cancer! My outside dietitian said that protein demand can nearly double during active chemo. And as soon as the nausea let up, I wanted beef specifically: steak, hamburgers, tacos. I was anemic too. And Kalamata olives, oddly.
Thanks Cancer! Pelvic Radiation Disease; especially since it took 8 years to really kick off 😳😣. #damncancer #toomuchpoo #rtlateeffects #radiotherapydamage
Thanks Cancer! I was recommended a nutritionist from the hospital. I didn’t go as much as I should but had the option.
Thanks Cancer! Docetaxel causing permanent hair loss,PCIA. 2 decades of research show much higher incidence than the 3% oncology tell’s us.There isn’t one study that agrees with that number. Hair loss is treated as cosmetic but I can assure you that it’s clinical. It’s devastating for women 💔
Thanks Cancer! Keep getting bald patches (2 odd years post chemo ) radiation damage Breast wall, anxiety feel cold more since treatment had loads of blood test all come back normal oh fatigue
Thanks Cancer! Already knew them as friends who were at hospice stage really bad wanting to die someone would say have you tried peach kernals? They work really well. Ivermectin is a newbie No Thanks.
