iPhone : Some of the most compelling and persuasive texts have been on the form of essays.

I’m especially thinking of early black feminist and queer theory essays.

I mean Barbara Christian’s “The Race for Theory” was 🔥🔥🔥.

iPhone : Almost every time i tell a young darkskin black girl “you’re so pretty” they look up at me and say “i am?”

These girls go years and years without ever hearing that. Or when they hear it it’s backhanded.
