John Shewchuk Chris Parrott David Ullrich Nope John Clauser is not a climate expert. He has no expertise in climate science and works with a fossil fuel lobby group. Happy to debate him.

John Shewchuk David Ullrich Yet again, do you agree that 1) cyclones globally are intensifying at faster rates, with heavier rainfall and higher destructiveness? Yes or no? 2) CO2 is raising temps that dries soil and causes vegetation browning. Yes or no?

John Shewchuk Bladesmith Brian Brettschneider John is misleading. 1) East getting more extreme precipitation 2) West getting more extreme droughts in summer and floods in winter. 3) Average them out and all looks fine but it hides regional extremes which is why John dodged regional variation.

GB News Lee Anderson Richard Tice has funders who are linked to dodgy fossil fuel lobby groups. x.com/TheDisproof/st… He will likely deny this.

A useful image to explain just how rapid the rise in global temps is compared to the past. The current rate of change causes harm.

CO2 Coalition 1) By 2100 we will likely exceed those temps and do so in under 100 yrs while the Eemian changes took 1000s. Rapid change causes harm. 2) Sea level was higher in the Eemian (6 to 9 metres) which would flood almost all coastal cities in existence today.

With heatwaves around the world, there's been lots of talk about measuring temperature from space.

We can't get air temp, but we can get land surface temperature (LST).

So, I created a webpage to show live LST from EUMETSAT's :

If Steve Milloy actually read the source, it says sea level rise caused by our emissions is a problem nasa.gov/science-resear… 'While the elevation changes seem small – fractions of inches per year – they can enhance or diminish local flood risk linked to sea level rise'

For some reason this image has upset me far more than those from ground. I don't know why.

Thousands of people. Fleeing from the fighting. Surrounded by bombed-out buildings. Unsure if their homes still stand. Unsure if they'll even be able to return to North Gaza.

Some fossil fuel shills will tell you they care about human development in Africa and that the answer is more fossil fuels.

The opposite is true.

It is solar energy that can save lives

The last decade was about driving down the cost of low-carbon technologies to make them competitive with fossil fuels.

This decade is about building them as quickly as we can.

Build, build, build.

[note that this will drive the costs down even more]

BONUS Andy May Typical rubbish, he is regressing 5 randomly selected 'cycles' extracted from sunspot or cosmogenic isotope data instead of regressing sunspot number or TSI, clearly because both show the opposite of what he believes.
Typical clintel pseudoscientific nonsense.

China’s carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions are set to fall in 2024 and could be facing structural decline, due to record growth in the installation of new low-carbon energy sources.

Climate change has become very visible in Scotland.

Adapting to climate change is hard.

Especially as climate change was not actually considered in 2011 when they designed the flood defences for a 1-in-200 year event.

They were overwhelmed in 2023.
