I love that the Golden Horse Fantastic Film Festival celebrates their least-attended screening, even giving out free drinks and snacks to its audiences (The fest didn't announce which film it was, though)

The HK Film Awards pretty much went the way I expected, so I don't have much to say about the results. One thing I will suggest: Please bring back the host so you don't abruptly cut off Tony Leung and the co-producer of the Best Film winner.

In November 2020, Milkyway’s post-production coordinator called me to watch a first cut of their pandemic-period project. She was so excited about how great it was, and she was right. That film was MAD FATE. Thrilled to see its journey reach the HK Film Awards tonight.

I don't know if anyone has pointed that out yet, but among the 19 announced Cannes competition entries, only 7 are not in English or French. It seems very low even by their standards.
