A look around Lewisham Gateway as it approaches completion.

A few photos from various angles. 649 homes, shops, cinema perhaps one day and more. Decent through route from station to town centre but some horror show buildings sadly.

HMT reportedly unhappy. Once again…pension funds don’t have to invest in freehold. Throughout history major reforms have inconvenienced the finances of some ppl. Doesn’t mean those reforms were wrong. Britain’s economy is too reliant on rent extraction and house price inflation

The Tories really are utterly devoid of ideas. Always the same piss poor attempts to push up prices - which in time push more out of any chance of affording their own home - while hopeless at ensuring sufficient new housing is built.

In 2005, Brentford were in League One and had £7m debt.

They got Premier League Southampton at home in the FA Cup and got a replay.

That run earned the club over £500k.

Yet Premier League managers, like Brentford’s Thomas Frank, complained about replays and now they’re gone.

The Green's realise there's massive council house waiting lists and vast increases in temp housing in London - but don't seem to grasp that buying existing homes will see private renters evicted from them and/or having less choice - and so in turn require temp housing
