I like to think that, if thereā€™s an afterlife, itā€™s a bit like the old TMS commentary box at Lordā€™s - all chocolate cake, Arlottā€™s red wine and Johnnersā€™ practical jokes, with cricket legends wandering in and out all day and a Test Match going on outside on a beautiful August day

Great piece by Andrew Head and Tim Robinson on how the Post Office tried to stop our 2015 BBC Panorama 'Trouble At The Post Office'. Secret briefings with the editor, threats seeking to nobble our witnesses and a wall of lies.

But fair play to BBC Panorama we stuck to our guns.ā€¦

'It was our job to access counters in the Post Office to fix problems. We would insert data to fix problems. If Fujitsu didn't want the PostMaster to know about it, then the PostMaster didn't know about it'

I am well chuffed that our 2015 @bbcpanorama Trouble At The Post Office is back on BBC iPlayer. Hero whistleblower Richard Roll told me about Horizon: 'there were errors with the system'. From our Panorama going out in August 2015, it was clear that Post Office and Fujitsu wereā€¦

Arbuthnot says Fujitsu must face criminal charges for perverting the course of justice, theft and fraud. This is big.
Also the Post Office guy Stephen Bradshaw was today accused of intimidating, threatening and cruel behaviour.

Ed Davey was paid Ā£833 an hour - over Ā£220,000 in total - to advise lawyers who were acting for the Post Office. (Taking taxpayersā€™ money to persecute petrified, innocent people.)

Benonwine Post Office should have sacked her for gross misconduct and dereliction of duty of care for its employees. Also she should not be allowed to retire on full pension benefits from PO. When are senior executives going to take responsibility for their lack of professionalism.

The Horizon scandal is the biggest miscarriage of justice in British history.

The Post Office lied about who had access to the accounts and the computers. That fact makes every single conviction unsafe and, put simply, wrong.

We need to quickly right this injustice.

Why can't the government just accept the Post Office system was a disaster and repay all the money it took from the postmasters? Rescind the convictions. pay their legal bills. Lawsuits - who pays - can all come later. Put them back to some sort of square one.

Becoming very irritated by reporting that ā€œfaulty softwareā€ was the root of the problem in the post office scandal.

Software often has faults.

But the root of the problem was senior managers in the Post Office & Fujitsu who lied and lied; and who had no care for the postmasters
