When people describe themselves, I hear that sentiment quite often. But I don't think people understand the tragic implications of those words.

To understand the implications let’s first define what…

You don’t have to try to be liked or accepted. You are amazing just the way you are. You don’t have to go “the extra mile” or go “above and beyond” for someone. Just be you. You are your biggest asset, stay true to YOU!

If you don't heal from your past, then everyone you meet will feel like a shadow of it.

You've gone through some of the toughest trials, challenges and setbacks that one can face. But you didn't allow that to defeat you. You continued to move towards peace in spite of all. This message is here to reassure you that very soon things are about to turn around for you.

Intimacy isn't just about sex. It's having heart-to-hearts, sitting in comfortable silence, sharing childhood memories, thoughts, fears, dreams & hopes for the future. It's uncontrollable laughter, direct eye contact, and feeling each other without touching—it's exchanging energy

You'll know when the love is real in your relationship when you feel heard and valued, not just during the easy times but especially through the challenging ones.

It's the quiet assurance that you are in a safe space to build a future that respects both of your dreams.

The older you get, the more you realize you don't have trust issues, you have 'I've seen this many times before, I know how it's going to end' issues.

Normalize being ok with letting people think whatever they want about you. The idea that we'll be liked, validated or approved of by everybody is an illusion. Our mental health, peace, and happiness are more important than other people's acceptance, opinions or perceptions of us.

Don't personalize or internalize other people’s reactions. You can really be kind and respectful when communicating with someone and they would still be defensive because they’re hearing something about themselves that they're not ready to receive.
