Promotion time. Congratulations to Sgt Nagorski who has been promoted to the rank of SSgt by the Commanding Officer. This promotion follows years of dedicated service and is rightly deserved. He starts today as the new Assistant Regimental Careers Management Officer.

General Sir Roly Walker is to be appointed the new Chief of the General Staff with effect from June 2024.

Sgts Milakovic and Blackford and SSgts Taylor, Atherley and Williamson all received the Long Service and Good Conduct (LSGC) Medal. Capt Hollis received a clasp for his LSGC.

With the Regiment back together this December, soldiers and officers took some time out this afternoon to celebrate Christmas.

We sung some carols in the Garrison Church, ate lunch together and decorated the Camp for Christmas.

On Monday, A group of soldiers from the Royal Lancers (Queen Elizabeths’ Own) travelled to the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk to plant 1000 oak saplings. Queen Camilla, the Regiment’s Colonel-in-Chief, joined the soldiers to shovel the first soil onto the trees.
