Let me clear this up: Motive used the same code name to describe *whatever project* that the Dead Space team was working on next, hence the confusion on Jeff's part.

It was never really a Dead Space 2 remake, and for nearly a year it's had nothing to do with Dead Space

EA's statement was, 'We don't normally comment on rumors but there is no validity to this story.' 'No validity' is pretty firm. My own sources tell me a Dead Space 2 remake was never considered. I don't currently see a strong internal appetite to remake Dead Space 2.

EA Motive never considered a Dead Space 2 Remake. They're currently working on Battlefield and Iron Man. From what I can gather, the Dead Space Remake was ultimately considered a good experiment that did fine but Motive is prioritizing other things now.

Thunderblade was much better than US Gold’s poor 16-bit computer ports, while Space Harrier II and Altered Beast were more than accurate enough copies of the original coin-ops to articulate the system’s credentials. It was clearly going to be big. We just didn’t know how big! 2/2

35 years ago, after months of effort, CVG finally got hold of an import Sega Mega Drive. And lo! There was much celebration! It came with Altered Beast, Space Harrier II, and Thunderblade. Not the greatest games, but more than good enough to show off the machine's potential. 1/2

Literally all I've thought about GI for years is 'Just let me actually buy their magazine...' Signed up for the two years.
