Mum was beautiful, lovely, peaceful, joyous and so sweet. I wish I could see her. And how do I? By being the best version I can be of myself. Where are you? Heaven? I'm with you. Xxx

As I wrote here about the film's chronology, since Let It Be was last officially available (on VHS & Laserdisc), you could have bought A Hard Day's Night on VHS, Laserdisc, DVD, Blu-Ray *and* streamed it online. And 4K/UHD if that counts as different theymaybeparted.com/2021/11/22/tmb…

Seems like the right time to reshare this, which I first wrote on the eve of Get Back. Remembering what it was like to wait for Let It Be (the first time): theymaybeparted.com/2021/11/22/tmb…

I need to retweet this again (and again), because it explains why Let It Be is so important, even with Get Back existing.

You can fine me, and only me, in this lonely corner of Let It Be film posters. Have I mentioned before my fear that the greatness of Get Back has the side effect of slowly eliminating the memory of Let It Be? I have.

<Getting on soapbox again> I talk about the Let It Be film all the time not only because it was something the Beatles did, but because it shaped 50 years of their history. Maybe it's not the same now, but it mattered for a very, very long time. </end soapbox for now>
