This day three years ago – 25 May 2018 – 66.9% of Irish voters supported repealing the constitutional ban on abortion.

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said,

It was impossible not to be moved after Tom Hand, Emily's father, spoke about his daughter when it was believed she had been killed.

Hamas should release her, unconditionally, along with any other hostages captured on Oct 7th.

I cannot see why anyone would disagree with that.

I'll lose followers for this, but I don't care:

239 hostages are still being held in Gaza by Hamas, the youngest Kfir Bibas (9 months).

No matter how righteous you think you are, if you believe taking an infant hostage is excusable, you are not the good guys.

Just picked up The Disconnect by Roisin Kiberd in Vibes and Scribes, one of the best independent book shops in Cork. I used to run into Roisin quite a bit in Dublin. Looking forward to giving this a read!

The victim blaming of Kim Damti on many Irish social media accounts over the past few days has been sickening.

This Irish person hopes her murderers are met with retributive justice.

I love this clip of Michael Gambon, switching between the Dublin accent he had as a child, and the Received Pronunciation and Cockney accents he learned after moving to London.

Neil Jordan's Michael Collins came in for a lot of criticism, but it is hard to deny the power of its climax.

And it wouldn't be nearly as powerful without Sinéad O'Connor's rendition of She Moved Through the Fair.
