On Dude Ranches we Also, we fixed a property tax issue, putting them in a class that protects them from nearby growth, so we can preserve the few we have left. Qualifying historic ranches will receive a modest tax benefit.

But we’ve been hard at work the last several years to preserve & promote a unique piece of AZ history, culture, and tourism. HB2145 allows historic dude ranches to add official historical markers to state routes/highways so you know where they are!

I’m proud to report my bill HB2145 passed and was signed by the Governor. Things are looking up for Dude Ranches in AZ. As you can see, it’s been pretty bleak for some time.
