City of San Diego Employ + Empower interns recently met with state representatives and Mayor Todd Gloria to discuss the importance of job training. Since starting the state grant funded workforce program two years ago, 838 students have been hired as paid City
interns.

Street sweeping operations is set to resume on May 9 in flood-impacted areas. The City paused parking enforcement for street sweeping to allow for large-scale cleanup efforts. Staff will conduct robust outreach to inform residents about this change:

San Diegans impacted by the January storm are encouraged to apply for federal disaster assistance before next week's April 19 deadline. City teams continue to work on the recovery process, from cleanup to collaboration, we're ensuring aid reaches all those affected.

New parking meters are coming to #EastVillage . This will help manage parking and increase turnover for the benefit of residents and businesses. The meters will cost $1.25 an hour, with a 2-hour time limit. Revenues will be used on mobility-related improvements in the area.

The Kettner and Vine proposal is a bold step forward in our City's commitment to solving the homelessness crisis.
