The former First Lady’s reflections on the Supreme Court decision in affirmative action cases really spoke to me. As a proud beneficiary of affirmative action, I saw first hand the importance of having people of all backgrounds coming together to find common ground.

The labor market is off to a strong start this year with 517,000 jobs added in January, an unemployment rate at a historic low of 3.4%, and wage growth that continues to decelerate, slowing down to 3.7% at an annualized rate (down to 4.4% growth over the last year).

Honored to witness history in Annapolis today with the landmark and historic inauguration of Governor Gov. Wes Moore & Lieutenant Governor Aruna K. Miller. Inspiring to see so many united in body and spirit to celebrate this long overdue moment.
