After 5 years of twitter I have reached the conclusion that the platform is of little future or value for me and intend leaving sometime in the next week or so. Here is wishing you all well and thanks to all those pleasant folk I have enjoyed twitter time with.

Government out of control re petrol position.Statements indicate failure to grasp reality.Go about business normally impossible we have no petrol. There are long lines,no where near me there is no petrol...army on stand by.. need to be trucking. Another disgraceful performance.

Another dillusionary incompetent minister now obvious in Grant Shapps. Forget politics Westminster appears very short of talent and lacking in competence. The army needs to be off standby and into action now. The problem in many areas is not the lines. There is no fuel.

If the government and media spent more time on solving the petrol issue rather than explaining that there is no shortage, which there clearly is to the consumer, we may get further quicker.

The BBC has mentioned a few times now that Liz Truss is the first female Foreign Secretary, which will be news to Margaret Beckett who held the role under Tony Blair.

Seems clear from data and local council reports that recent festivals and events have had a detrimental impact on covid spread.Rises are significant. Scientists predict will hit 100,000 cases a day by winter. A government that allows this is a disgrace and unfit for purpose.

Given recent parole situations is it not time to consider removing parole inclusion for appropriate violent and intended crimes. Seems common sense. Sadly not very common.

Today my 12 yr son Tim is 41. His life was ended by an IRA bomb, but it helped bring peace to GB, NI & ROI thro @peacefoundation. Wendy and I wanted to make Tim’s life have meaning and I think we’ve done so. RIP Tim. Your light shines bright x. Please R/T
