I’m very happily back working at UNSW Law & Justice and it’s been a joy to see some new campus developments, but still see some of my favourite signage and favourite tree.
I'm thrilled to be updating my profile details, as I rejoin UNSW Law & Justice on 12 Feb as a Professor in the School of Private & Commercial Law. I look forward to rejoining many of my colleagues, including working with CIBEL @ UNSW Law & Justice & @weaponisedtrade project. But before that, Bali holiday!
Amazing work done by Newcastle School of Law and Justice ‘s Rhanee Rego Rhanee Rego - persistence over so many years to address Australia’s most egregious wrongful conviction. Law school staff were all on stage at graduation ceremony when the result was announced & the news rippled across the stage.

This was a bit of an unexpected trip - I was expecting R&D on aquaculture and traceability. Instead, I got a bit of traceability, a big tank of sharks, and some extraordinary preserved specimens. #lostintranslation
Calling all Australia and Aotearoa NZ Tort and Compensation system researchers and teachers. Kylie Burns and I are organising a symposium in Brisbane or online on 15-16 February 2024. Event sponsored by Griffith Law School and Auckland Law School so no conference fee for presenters!
How appropriate to be enjoying the benefits of zoom & joining this fantastic panel from the comfort of my home study - minus jetlag & carbon miles. After lunch (or my late night cup of tea break) I'll be joining ProfFionaSmith (Dr) on a panel speaking on agriculture & traceability.
