UPDATE - The #M42 southbound between J3a ( #M40 / #M42 Interchange) and J3 has now reopened following an earlier multi-vehicle collision.

All lanes are running past the scene, thank you for your patience.

The #M42 is currently BLOCKED southbound between J3a ( #M40 / #M42 interchange) and J3.

This is due to a multi-vehicle collision, Traffic Officers are en route.

There are approx. 2 miles of congestion following this incident in both directions so please allow time for this to clear.

There is now a large scale emergency service presence at scene.
