In 2014 a 7 year old boy Zane Gbangbola went to sleep and never woke up following the flooding of contaminated land.

And his father has been in a wheelchair ever since.

Toxic land is a huge issue. As are councils that solely favour profit over the health of residents.

With many historic landfills we simply don't know what's in them - much of what we now know to be highly toxic was previously thought 'non-hazardous'. And old illegal tips aren't even mapped. Flood water can contain some nasty stuff.
