Democracies must show their teeth. Dictators hope that we will get tired of defending our shared values. But there can be no return to 'business as usual'. Dictators cannot be appeased or reeducated, they can only be fought. We must all stand together for freedom. #DelphiForum

Without a free & democratic #Belarus , our neighbors will face a perpetual threat. At the #DelphiForum , I highlighted the crucial strategic role of #Belarus for the security of the entire region. The time to support our fight for freedom is now — delay is not an option.

Today, I enjoyed a great tour of Europe's cradle of democracy in Athens alongside George A. Papandreou, former PM of 🇬🇷 & great-grandson of a Belarusian rebel from the Kalinouski Uprising. It's heartening to see that our love of freedom unites the people of #Belarus & #Greece .

I began my visit to wonderful Greece 🇬🇷 today at the invitation of DEF. During this visit, I am meeting with President GR Katerina Sakellaropoulou, Mayor of Athens Haris Doukas & the plenary of the Hellenic Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee. #delphiforum

Vitold Ashurak, Mikalai Klimovich, Ales Pushkin, Vadzim Khrasko, Ihar Lednik, and now Aliaksandr Kulinich have all died in Belarusian prisons for opposing the regime. For many political prisoners held incommunicado in #Belarus , it is unknown whether they are dead or alive.

In our history, April 11 will always be remembered as the day of the Minsk metro attack in 2011. A tragic day that saw 15 lives lost and 400 injured. Many questions about this day still remain unanswered by the regime. We finally need the full truth about this horrible attack.

Today our hero Stsiapan Latypau spends another birthday behind bars. Detained in 2020 near the Square of Changes, Stsiapan was tortured & tried to commit suicide in court. He was sentenced to 8,5 years in prison. We won't stop fighting until all our political prisoners are free!

Honored to visit your great country, President NikosChristodoulides. Thank you for the strong position on sanctions against Lukashenka's regime. Today, we discussed closing loopholes in sanctions & supporting honest Belarusian businesses in exile. We are proud to have 🇨🇾 as an ally!

Today, we mourn yet another tragic death in #Belarus . Aliaksandr Kulinich became the 6th politically detained Belarusian to die in the regime's custody. My deepest condolences go out to his family. I call on our international partners to take action to prevent more lives lost.

Today, at the 🇵🇱 Embassy in Cyprus 🇨🇾, I briefed diplomats from 🇦🇹🇦🇺🇫🇮🇫🇷🇮🇪🇮🇹🇯🇵🇳🇱🇵🇹🇸🇰🇸🇪🇺🇦🇺🇸🇪🇺 on our efforts to release political prisoners in #Belarus . I also asked for support in resolving challenges Belarusians face with legalizing their stay abroad, mobility & visa issuance.

The Lukashenka regime's list of so-called 'extremist materials' continues to grow, now including even this X account! It won't stop me from sharing the truth about the situation in #Belarus . To all my followers within the country: please always be mindful of your safety.

Many political prisoners in #Belarus are in urgent need of medical help. Ales Bialiatski, like other prisoners, has been held incommunicado for many months. According to his wife, his health deteriorated & he is being denied necessary medicines. The global community must act now!
