DPS and the Washington County DA’s Office confirm a second person has died as a result of the incident at the Brenham DPS Office on April 12.

The victim is identified as Cheryl Turner, 63, of Brenham.

Every day, our troopers work tirelessly to keep drugs out of our communities.

A missing 12-year-old child was recovered Sunday by DPS Special Agents in a hotel along the Katy Fwy in #Houston after National Center for Missing & Exploited Children contacted DPS.

Special Agents are actively investigating sexual assault and #humantrafficking allegations.

DPS returned the child to her father.

Last week, Sgt Snider and Trp Woolley attended the Apple Springs ISD Career Fair and had a great time.

DPS can confirm that 14 people were injured in today’s tragic incident at the Brenham DPS Office.

One is now deceased, two have serious injuries, three were taken to a hospital & released, and eight were treated at the scene.

The Texas Rangers are leading this investigation.

A media briefing will be held at 2:45 p.m. today at the media staging area.

Law enforcement is actively investigating this incident and asking helicopters to be aware that drones will be operating at 100 feet or below.

Media staging area is at 908 US 290 in Brenham at the Graham Lodge No. 20.

A press conference will be held this afternoon to provide updated information.

We can confirm that the Texas Rangers are investigating this incident. A suspect has been arrested and there is no further threat to the community.

A Harris County Trooper conducted a traffic stop near the Houston area and seized (15) bottles of Farmapram Alprazolam and a bottle of prescription cough syrup.
