George County swipes Game 1 in the MHSAA Class 6A State Championships with a 3-2 win over Warren Central.

Taylorsville takes Game 1 of the Class 1A series with a 6-0 win over Pine Grove.

The Brandon Bulldogs have defeated Hernando 5-2 in Game 1 of the 2024 MHSAA Class 7A Championship Series.

Bulldogs stranded a ton of runners, but Hernando never got the bats going against ace Walker Hooks.

Game 2 set for 7 p.m. Thursday.

The Class 2A and 3A Championship series could have a big impact on the Class 4A series. If East Union and East Webster both sweep, Sumrall would face Ripley in a possible Game 3 Friday. If either of the series splits, they'd play Saturday, and Ty Long would be eligible to start.
